The Bait fridge residency at The Mill - 2020
Coinciding with Adelaide’s COVID-19 lockdowns, The Bait Fridge were resident artists in The Mill’s physical and digital spaces during March and April 2020. We held Zoom workshops in costume and cubby making, and once restrictions allowed us to occupy the building we condensed our 10 week residency into a 10-person, 10-hour, live-streamed process performance. The day included several private, drive-in performances were members of the public could book in to a parking spot and characters made artworks using their licence plates as reference and the driver and passengers remained completely isolated physically from the performers to ensure compliance/safety with COVID restrictions.
